Mods

One of the many fun things of Having a bike is modifying it. I've already done quite a few things to this Bike. To catch up here is the list:
I put a lower handle bar on the bike. Even though it causes you to bend over more to reach the bars, I find it's more comfortable than the stock bar. I also got rid of the stock mirrors which were useless, unless I wanted to check out my arms. The Bar end mirrors work great and in my opinion look much better than the mickey mouse ears.

Other than that, i've replaced the stock exhaust cans with an identical "race" version, they look the same but the race version is louder and makes a little more power. I picked up a pair of carbon fiber heatshields fo rthe new exhaust which look pretty cool. I also added some frame sliders for crash prtection. I also replaced the front brake calipers. I swapped the originals for a pair off of a GSXR-1000 courtesey of E-Bay. The new brakes feel much better than the stock ones did. With the caliper swap, I replaced the brake lines and pads. This has been the modification that i've felt the biggest difference in.

You can see the "new" black brake calipers here with the Exhaust, heat shields and Frame sliders.

That pretty much catches up everything I've changed on teh bike up to now. I've got a few more things coming too. One of them has already arrived and is already on the bike.

More Sliders. I plan on doing more track days this year, and although riding fast on the track is still much safer than even a slow ride on the street, there is the possibility of pushing too hard and crashing. So to help keep the damage low in case a crash does happen, I've gotten some more sliders. A set of GSG case sliders and a Skyking rear axle slider will hopefully keep the replacement costs low should I bin it at the track.
